Company Registration Number: 5031948 VAT Registration Number: 641 134 671 Registered Address: Sovereign House 155 – 157 High Street Aldershot Hants UK GU11 1TT We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. The personal data we collect and why
Contact form enquiries
When you submit an enquiry through our contact form, we collect the details you provide — typically your name, email address, phone number and message. We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry and to handle any follow-up correspondence. Enquiries are delivered to us by email and a copy is stored securely within our website’s database. We retain enquiries for up to 24 months, after which they are deleted unless we are still actively corresponding with you or need to keep them for a contract we have entered into with you. Our legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services and, where your enquiry relates to entering into a contract with us, the steps necessary prior to entering into that contract.
Website analytics
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (loaded via Google Tag Manager) to understand how visitors use our website — for example which pages are visited and how visitors arrive at the site. This helps us improve the website and our services. Analytics runs only if you click “Accept” on our cookie banner. If you decline, or make no choice, no analytics code is loaded and no analytics cookies are set. Our legal basis for this processing is your consent, which you may withdraw at any time (see “Cookies” below). The information collected by Google Analytics is aggregated and does not directly identify you. Google’s own privacy policy is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Technical data and server logs
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records limited technical information when you visit — such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested — in server logs. This is used for the security, stability and maintenance of the website, on the basis of our legitimate interests, and is routinely deleted.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use the following:
| Cookie | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
pmw_consent |
Strictly necessary | Records your cookie consent choice so we do not ask you on every visit. | 12 months |
_ga |
Analytics (consent only) | Google Analytics — distinguishes visitors. | 2 years |
_ga_* |
Analytics (consent only) | Google Analytics — maintains session state. | 2 years |
The analytics cookies are set only after you click “Accept” on the cookie banner. To withdraw your consent at any time, delete this site’s cookies in your browser settings — the consent banner will reappear on your next visit and analytics will remain off unless you accept again.
Third-party services embedded in this website
- Google Maps — some pages display an interactive map. The map is loaded from Google only as it comes into view, at which point your browser connects to Google and Google may collect your IP address and set its own cookies in accordance with its privacy policy.
- Google Fonts — the typefaces on this site are served from Google’s servers, which means your browser transmits your IP address to Google when loading them.
Google’s privacy policy applies to both: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf:
- our website hosting provider (server logs and website database);
- our email delivery provider (contact form notifications);
- Google (analytics — only with your consent — and the embedded services listed above).
We may also disclose personal data where required by law.
International transfers
Google may process data collected via Google Analytics, Google Maps and Google Fonts on servers outside the UK, including in the United States. These transfers are safeguarded by the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (standard contractual clauses).
How we protect your data
This website is served over HTTPS, and access to enquiry data is limited to those who need it to deal with your enquiry.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- request access to the personal data we hold about you;
- request that inaccurate data be corrected;
- request erasure of your data;
- request that we restrict processing of your data;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- request a copy of the data you provided to us in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent (this does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal).
To exercise any of these rights, email enquiries@pmwhitedrylining.com. We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at https://ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
